Classic Vehicle Show
A crowd favourite, the Belton Horse Trials Classic Vehicle Show has showcased everything from a 1920s Bentley to a 2006 TVR in previous years! With over 100 entries year on year, there are lots of vehicles to see and the owners are only too happy to stand talking cars to anyone who wants to find out more!.
Our popular dressage demo is back again this year with Ian and Amy Woodhead of DHI Event Horses. Learn what dressage is all about and what the judges might be looking for.

Belton Gate Jumping
After the fabulous success of the nail-biting 2016 competition, Belton International Horse Trials is once again hosting its fabulous Gate Jumping. The aim of the competition is to jump the gate without knocking it down. If it falls you may by yourself a life (up to 3 at the discretion of the commentator) by removing one item of clothing. Crash hats may not be removed. The winner will be the person to jump the highest gate with the most clothes on!!
H&M Dog Team
One of the most popular dog teams in the country. Using a variety of dogs of all breeds, including some rescue dogs, they perform the most original and fast moving display on the circuit. The showcase agility, speciality retrieving, jumping, hoops and much more. A great spectacle for all the family!
Honington Grange Inter Hunt Relay
Teams will be required to proceed through start flags (time will be taken as the first horse crosses the line). The first obstacle will be a gate; once open, the first team member can proceed around the course. The gate must be closed as the first team member passes back through it after their round before the second team member starts and so on through the team. The first team member will then hand his whip to the second team member, who will complete the course, and hand the whip to the third member.
Pony Club Games
The fast and furious team sport of Pony Club Mounted Games began when HRH Prince Philip asked the Director of HOYS if he could devise a competition for children who could not afford an expensive, well-bred pony. The ponies and riders may be small, but they make up for what they lack in stature with their courage, determination and riding skills!
The Pony Club will be entertaining us with their games throughout the day with both junior and senior teams battling it out for the title.
This year we have a band stand located within the shopping village at Belton. The bands will be playing music throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday. The bands included are Lounge About, a jazz band located in Nottinghamshire, The Foss Dyke Band, a traditional English brass band based in Lincoln and Band US, who brand themselves as a band for all occasions! We hope the music offering to be enjoyable with seating and food vendors located nearby.
